CONVERSATION STARTERS

  • Have you had a close friend or family member disappoint or reject you? How did it feel?

  • What’s one rule at home or at school that you find hard to follow?

  • Why did Jesus cry?  Who was He crying to?

  • Why do you think Jesus asked God if there was another way?

  • Have you ever had to do something that was very difficult to do but you knew you had to, because it was the right thing to do? How did it make you feel? How did you work up the courage or strength to do it?

  • What can you do when you are afraid or feeling alone or when you face a situation you think you don’t deserve?

  • God did not force Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus could have said “no”, But he was obedient to God. How hard do you think it was for Jesus to say to God “Whatever you say I will do.”

  • What hard things can you ask God to help you face?
